Year 11s Prepare to Perform

The French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry famously said: “A goal without a plan is just a wish”. To help and encourage our Year 11 students plan for success in their forthcoming GCSE exams, today Mrs Fraser, Deputy Headteacher, welcomed students back from holiday for this important term and delivered the third in a series of supportive assemblies.

Each student is working from a Prepare to Perform booklet in which they receive motivational tips and can record and share their thoughts and goals, helping their individual plans to achieve.

In the words of another author, Mark Victor Hansen, also known as America’s Ambassador of Possibility: “By recording your goals and dreams on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be.” By following this sound advice, these assemblies provide wonderful opportunities for students to be on top form when the GCSEs start in a few weeks’ time.

The assembly opened Year 11 Progress Leader, Mr Tang, providing information about the availability of Prom dresses available for hire – an event to look forward to after the exams!
