Many of us have family, friends and loved ones whose lives have been affected byso it was fantastic to support Wear It Pink Day last week.
Staff and students wore pink accessories and took part in a pink tombola, pink-themed games and enjoyed some tasty pink cakes. Over £560 was raised to support this important cause so we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who got involved, particularly the year 7 students who made and bought cakes for our stall.
It was also a lovely surprise to see our efforts acknowledged by Breast Cancer Now, the national charity that runs Wear it Pink. They tweeted a personalised video from their team to everyone at our school, which said: “Prenton High, thank you so much for taking part in #WearItPink. The money you raise will help us to fund life-changing breast cancer research and support. We can’t thank you enough!”
Well done everyone!
