It was Michelle Obama who said: “Through my education, I didn’t just develop skills, I didn’t just develop the ability to learn, but I developed confidence”. This is the mantra of the joint MBNA Bank and Cheshire Community Foundation’s Inspiring Education Programme and, thanks to Mrs Sarah Robinson, parent of Year 9 student Jess and who nominated us for a substantial grant, we are able to fund an exciting new school project.
We are delighted to announce that the bid was successful and are thrilled to be receiving the full amount that was requested! The award means we can fund a project that was proposed by Mrs Burns, Subject Leader for Music and Performing Arts, enabling over forty students to go on a residential trip to London where they will watch West End shows and take part in workshops led by actors. They will also have the opportunity to fit in a sightseeing tour of London during their visit.
Thank you Mrs Robinson, the MBNA and Cheshire Community Foundation, and Mrs Burns!
