Sport’s Transferrable Qualities

Experts recognise the many of the qualities that we display when taking part in sport transfer well into the classroom or workplace. Determination, perseverance, commitment, and resilience – combined with an ‘I can do that’ growth mind-set not only boost fitness, self-confidence, mental concentration, and relieving stress, but also help gain academic success.

Following a short performance from the Mary Poppins cast in their Year 7 assembly, Miss Roberts, Year 7 Progress Leader, outlined the importance and the benefits of students participating in sport.

It was a timely message with the World Cup about to kick off in Russia – and there is something further our students can aim for, now that women commentators are joining the pundits on both main TV channels!
