Parent Workshops aim to Help and Inform

Following an invitation to all parents with daughters in Years 7 to 10, we held the first series of workshops today.

The aim is to provide an opportunity for the school, outside agencies, and parents to information share and problem solve a number of topics, helping everyone to support each other to our mutual benefit.

The workshops included some of the key concerns that schools and parents currently face: Internet Safety and Social Media, Teenage Mental Health, Drug Taking Behaviours, and Behaviour Management and Implementing Consequences. For the session covering drug-taking behaviours, we welcomed Constable Jo Tivendale (pictured here) from the Safer Schools Police.

Thank you to all those who attended and we hope you found the afternoon useful and informative. We plan to run more of these sessions so, for parents interested in attending future events, please keep an eye on our ParentMail in the autumn term.
