Our own Marathon Man!

Congratulations to Mr Taylor, teacher of History, who ran the MBNA Chester Marathon – voted one of the Runner’s World favourite marathons – last weekend. He certainly got to know the area well during his run – which started at Chester Racecourse on a route that took him past all Chester’s iconic landmarks before heading out into the countryside of Cheshire and North Wales and returning to the banks of the River Dee for the finish.

Having lost a family member to the incurable disease Mr Taylor not only raised around £600 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association but also ran the race in an impressive 3 hours 6 minutes and 55 seconds, coming 307th out of the 5,000 runners.

Well done, Mr Taylor!
