We have received an update from the National Citizenship Service about changes to this year’s programme.
Sadly, as a result of COVID-19, the NCS two-week residentials have had to be cancelled.
However, they have made alternative arrangements for this summer. Their 4-week programme is being replaced nationally with a digital platform and some volunteering/social action across July and August, which will still offer fantastic opportunities to develop important life skills and boost your CV.
In addition to alternative provision for summer 2020, every student who had signed up for NCS is being offered four options as follows:
MOVING FORWARDS: If you were expecting to take part this summer, you will have the option to either:
- Receive a full refund
- Donate your fee to The Mix the UK’s leading support service for young people.
- Attend Autumn Programme 2020
- Attend Summer Programme 2021
For the moment, you do not need to do anything. The team from NCS will be contacting everyone who had signed up in the next few weeks about selecting the right eligible option for you.
We hope that you find this helpful and will keep you informed of any further information we receive from NCS.
