Year 9 student Grace only started volunteering with St John Ambulance in June but she has already gained two certificates.
Grace’s Membership Award recognises her knowledge of the service’s history and that she has gained a foundation in first aid. Her second certificate, in General Knowledge, is the first of eight subjects that she will be studying in the future, helping her to gain Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards, and ultimately the Grand Prior Award.
Grace is soon hoping to be able to join to her St John Ambulance colleagues at local public events that they cover such as festivals, football matches, and the Grand National. The life-saving skills she is learning will certainly help Grace reach her ambition of one day becoming a surgeon. Well done and good luck, Grace!
