We are excited to announce that year 9, 10 and 11 students are being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to undertake a 4-week expedition to Peru.
We are working with Camps International (global leaders in ethical and sustainable school expeditions) to offer students the chance to spend 4 weeks in Peru during the summer of 2021. Students will work on a variety of meaningful projects as well as undertaking a 4-5 day trek along the Salkantay route to Machu Picchu.
The expedition will be a real and authentic cultural experience for every student who takes part, which will help to challenge their view of the world through genuine projects that will transform communities.
Camp Peru will help to develop important life skills, cultural understanding and strengthen future university and job applications. The trip will also help to boost students’ confidence and increase their appreciation of how they can make a positive difference on the world.
Students can raise a significant proportion (if not all) of the funds for their expedition and a fundraising support team from Camps International will be on hand to offer encouragement, guidance and endless ideas to help everyone achieve their targets.
We are holding an information evening for parents and students from 6.30-7.30pm on Wednesday 20th November in the Main Hall. This is a great chance to learn more about what’s involved and ask any questions you may have. To ensure we have enough information packs, please confirm your attendance online using school code 6709. Click here to confirm attendance (please be reassured that by attending the meeting you are NOT committing to the expedition).
If you are interested but unable to attend the meeting, please email our Expedition Coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to Ms Gore.
